Dwayne,
Good to hear from you! Yes, I read the dreams Zech has written to you. He came to me one day and said, "May I talk to you at recess Mrs. Wiebe?" I said yes. Then he said, "It's about three dreams I had this weekend." Cool. So at recess I listened to his dreams. The one was for you, the other was for Jae-Won and the third we weren't sure what it meant at this time. I told him that sometimes God reveals it's purpose later, so he should keep his spiritual eyes and ears open. Yeah, so the dream he had for Jae-Won and us was: He saw a rotten apple on the ground. Someone picked it up and took out the seeds. The person planted the seeds and a tall tree grew out of it. Wow! We feel we are to plant the seed about Jesus in Jae-Won while he's here. Al bought him a Korean Bible and we watched the JESUS video in Korean, with English subtitles, last Sunday. This was totally new to him! It was exciting for us.
So, I believe Zech (Zechariah is his full name) is gifted with dreams. He is the boy in my class who I said would be our next Franklin Graham. He is a good public speaker and he is an evangelist at heart. He is sensitive to the Spirit. He is a really neat kid!
Things with Jae-Won are going really well. Tomorrow it is two weeks since he came. We have not seen any signs of homesickness yet. He seems to love it here! We talk to him a lot and play games with him, plus we take him to kids club on Wednesday nights so he is very happy! We take Michael too (Grace and Joseph's), so he has bonded with Michael a lot. Last Saturday we met with a family from near Teulon, where Jae-Won's cousin is being hosted! We all went toboganning and then went to their house for hot dogs and birthday cake. It was Jae-Won's birthday on Thursday, Jan. 11 (11 years old) and it was this family's youngest sons birthday, 8. It was a really neat visit! Ukranian people, not Christians but very high values. JAe-Won was happy to be with his cousin.
Well, I have to go do some marking now! Al and Jae-Won are at club.
Brenda
